The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Ray moves into range and clinches up with MacArthur.
Ray lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
MacArthur tries to break free but Ray pushes him back against the cage.
Ray makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
MacArthur is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ray gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
I was talking to Ray's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ray throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Ray lands a body punch.
MacArthur is still on wobbly legs! Can Ray finish him?
Ray lands a left hand that snaps the head of MacArthur backwards.
MacArthur is trying to pull guard but Ray turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ray scores with a hook to the body.
MacArthur looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ray lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops MacArthur to his knees! Ray keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

A very excited looking Stevie Ray rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
