Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alton Newcastle (ranked 1256 p4p, 58 weight class) and John Eugemia (ranked 2274 p4p, 104 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Eugemia has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Newcastle is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Newcastle sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Newcastle is on top in guard.

Newcastle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eugemia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Newcastle has managed to get both his arms back between Eugemia's legs - danger averted.
