The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Erikson moves into the clinch.

Erikson lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Thompson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Thompson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Erikson tightens his grip and picks Thompson up, before dumping him to the ground. Thompson manages to land in guard.

Thompson is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Erik Erikson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Erikson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Thompson! He's just covering up as Erikson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
