The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portis rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bacon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Portis throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bacon counters with a stiff right hand.

and Bacon counters with a nice right hand that sends Portis toppling to the canvas! Portis scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Bacon finish him?!
Portis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Portis tries to bum rush Bacon with a series of wild strikes but Bacon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Portis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bacon lands a big right hand that sends Portis crashing to the mat! Bacon stays standing though and waves Portis back to his feet!

Bacon fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Portis to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Portis looks to clinch but Bacon throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Portis taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

A determined Biffa Bacon didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
