Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jovic Nonbeomogov (ranked 6662 p4p, 547 weight class) and Jon Denker (ranked 25247 p4p, 642 weight class). Jon Denker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denker darts in looking for a takedown but Nonbeomogov gets double underhooks and turns Denker into the cage.

Nonbeomogov clinches up against the cage.

Nonbeomogov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Denker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nonbeomogov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jovic Nonbeomogov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nonbeomogov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Nonbeomogov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Denker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Denker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nonbeomogov, who protects the arm well.
Nonbeomogov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Denker has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Nonbeomogov wants to control but Denker postures up.
Nonbeomogov tries to bench press Denker off him but Denker keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nonbeomogov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Denker has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A bit of a lull in the action here.

Denker stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Nonbeomogov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
