Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 1120 p4p, 121 weight class) and Dawid Cpw (ranked 960 p4p, 107 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawid Cpw!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cpw waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Anstey.
Cpw takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cpw misses with an uppercut.

Cpw moves into the clinch.
Cpw scores with a shoulder strike.


It looks like Bunny Anstey has been cut.

Anstey fails to land with a series of punches.
Jab, jab by Cpw - just one landing.
Cpw fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anstey manages to avoid it.
Anstey was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Anstey stuns Cpw with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Cpw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cpw connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Anstey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cpw manages to avoid it.

Anstey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cpw but Cpw pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Anstey has his foot on Cpw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cpw works his way back into a safe position though.
Cpw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Cpw scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Anstey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cpw circles away quickly and effectively.

Anstey throws a punch but it's blocked by Cpw.

Cpw has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Anstey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Anstey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cpw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anstey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anstey is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cpw is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cpw has escaped and now he's on top!

Cpw fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Anstey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Anstey appears to be looking for a big counter.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cpw has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Anstey doesn't defend quickly enough and Cpw has managed to lock this one up! Can Anstey escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cpw on a fantastic submission victory.
