PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Makanakananui Opuakuwa (ranked 8675 p4p, 150 weight class) and Que Jackman (ranked 23631 p4p, 238 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makanakananui Opuakuwa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Que Jackman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opuakuwa looks to land a combination. Jackman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Que Jackman has been cut.
Opuakuwa misses with a head kick.
Opuakuwa scores with a one two! Jackman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Jackman has managed to clinch.
Jackman has Opuakuwa pressed against the ropes, preventing Opuakuwa from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Opuakuwa has had enough of the clinch but Jackman keeps him there for the moment.

Opuakuwa will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jackman up against the ropes.

and Opuakuwa counters with a head kick. That will keep Jackman thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Opuakuwa counters with a nice body kick.

Opuakuwa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jackman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
