Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nik Snow (ranked 1257 p4p, 158 weight class) and Billy Bush (ranked 1502 p4p, 183 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nik Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Bush!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Snow misses with an uppercut. Bush saw that one coming.
Snow tries a head kick but it misses.
Snow throws the left hand but Bush avoids the punch easily.
Bush is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Snow with a body shot.
Bush throws a big shot that misses.
Snow lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Snow throws a nice outside leg kick.
Snow misses with a straight left.
Bush misses with a hook. Snow ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bush tries to move into range but Snow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Snow tries to bum rush Bush with a series of wild strikes but Bush uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bush swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Snow.
Good leg kick by Bush there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Snow moves out of range of the strikes.

Bush smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
No joy there for Bush, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've been informed that Bush has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bush connects with a good right hand that stumbles Snow. Snow circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bush misses with an uppercut.
Snow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bush manages to avoid it.

Bush closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Snow.
Snow prevents Bush from breaking the clinch.
Snow lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bush backwards.

Bush breaks from the clinch.
Bush avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bush lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Snow fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bush has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bush lands with a thumping leg kick.
Snow connects with an inside leg kick.
Bush moves in looking to clinch but Snow pushes him off.
Snow misses with a low kick.
Snow uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bush.
A clash of legs there as Snow blocks the low kick.
Bush blocks a leg kick.
Snow throws a leg kick but Bush sees it coming and moves out of range.
Bush is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Snow.
Snow looks to land a body kick but Bush moved away.
Snow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Snow throws a chopping leg kick but Bush manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snow's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bush under the eye.
Bush cracks Snow with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've been told by Snow's head coaches at the smoker that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bush looks to land a left hand but Snow moved out of range nicely.
A low kick from Snow is predictable there
and Bush counters with a nice uppercut.
An inside leg kick lands from Snow.
Snow drops his hands momentarily and Bush takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Snow misses with a hook. Bush ducked under it nicely.
Snow throws a leg kick but Bush moved away.
Bush will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circle momentarily. Snow darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bush ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bush takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow misses with a kick to the body.
Bush throws a big counter head kick but Snow avoids it with no problem.
A jab lands there for Bush.
Snow throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bush counters with a nice uppercut.
Snow throws a poor cross that misses

and Bush counters by moving into the clinch.
Bush throws a head punch that misses.

Snow pulls Bush into guard.

Snow has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bush is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Snow.
Snow can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nik Snow will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Snow slips a jab from Bush.
Bush takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Snow tries to score with a low kick but Bush moves his leg out of the way.
Snow throws a leg kick but Bush sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bush throws a shot from downtown. Snow moves away and avoids it.
It looked like Snow was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Bush.
Snow misses with a low kick.
Bush pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bush lands with a shot to the body.
Bush lands a head shot.

Billy Bush seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Snow lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Billy Bush has been cut.
Snow throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Snow fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bush checks it well.
Snow misses with a wild body shot.
Bush stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Snow.
Snow throws a sloppy head kick and Bush moves out of range easily.
Snow chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Snow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bush uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Snow.
An inside leg kick from Snow misses.
Bush avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A nice side step and Bush releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Snow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bush throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Snow sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Bush thows a left - swing and a miss!
Snow lands a really nice looking cross but Bush seems unphased.
Bush's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A big left from Bush misses.
Bush is looking to chop away at Snow's legs.
Snow throwing a counter right hand but Bush manages to avoid it.
Bush scores with a hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Snow wants to land a leg kick but Bush is out of range.
Snow throws a front kick aimed at Bush's knee but Bush avoids it well.
Bush just misses with a punch to the body.
Bush dips to his left and cracks Snow with an uppercut!
Snow walks into a stiff left hand from Bush.
Some wild striking there from Bush.

Snow lands a big head kick that sends Bush tumbling to the mat! Snow takes a step backwards and waves Bush back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Bush is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Snow engages and cracks Bush with a massive lead left hook - Bush tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Snow is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nik Snow!
Nik Snow got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
