Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Hansen (ranked 2915 p4p, 330 weight class) and Ryan Yoshijiri (ranked 2783 p4p, 321 weight class). Ryan Yoshijiri struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Yoshijiri!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshijiri shoots in but Hansen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yoshijiri shoots in for a double leg but Hansen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hansen has closed the distance and engaged Yoshijiri in a clinch.
Hansen throws a punch but it's blocked by Yoshijiri.
Yoshijiri's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Hansen scores with a nice hook to the head.
Yoshijiri looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hansen lands an uppercut.
Yoshijiri tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hansen smiles and moves away.
Gustav Hansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Yoshijiri.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Yoshijiri looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gustav Hansen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hansen cracks Yoshijiri with a right hand to the side of the head.

Hansen clinches up against the cage.

Yoshijiri tries to pull guard but Hansen won't allow it.
Hansen misses with a hook to the ribs.

Yoshijiri jumps into guard, dragging Hansen to the mat.

Hansen digs a right hand into Yoshijiri's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Yoshijiri's gas tank.
Yoshijiri jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hansen walks away with a smile on his face. Yoshijiri gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hansen darts in and clinches Yoshijiri up against the cage.

Hansen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yoshijiri can do to turn this around?
Hansen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Yoshijiri jumps guard but Hansen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Yoshijiri wants a takedown.

Hansen drives through and clinches with Yoshijiri against the cage.

Hansen throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hansen misses with the head strike.

Hansen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hansen lands a hook that snaps the head of Yoshijiri backwards.
Hansen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hansen pushes Yoshijiri against the cage. Hansen is working some dirty boxing. Hansen pushes off with a quick right hook! Yoshijiri goes down! Yoshijiri tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hansen moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustav Hansen!
