The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer throws a head kick but Free moves out of range.

Free feints and as Mercer raises his hands in defense, Free changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mercer is trying to control the position but Free postures up.

Mercer has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Free has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Mercer blocks the elbow strike.
Mercer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Free gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mercer regains guard.
Mercer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Free is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mercer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mercer has escaped and now he's on top!

Free looking for a triangle here. Mercer is fighting it but it looks tight! Free pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mercer is tapping out - this one is all over!
