PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brynden Tully (ranked 3072 p4p, 331 weight class) and Eric Bueller (ranked 6586 p4p, 556 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Brynden Tully has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brynden Tully seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brynden Tully!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Bueller!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tully fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bueller checks it well.

Tully takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The referee calls for Tully to work.

Bueller changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tully fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Eric Bueller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tully moves into range and connects with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tully throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bueller closes the distance and clinches.
Tully tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Let's hope that Bueller has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but I would say that Brynden Tully will probably get the nod.

Bueller wants to counter the offense by Tully and move into the clinch position.

Bueller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bueller misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brynden Tully.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tully, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
