Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kay Ector (ranked 1059 p4p, 128 weight class) and Kang Xi Jia (ranked 1874 p4p, 221 weight class). Ector comes to the cage accompanied by Monster!. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ector tries to clinch up
and Xi Jia counters with an outside leg kick.
Ector definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ector throws a looping overhand right but Xi Jia ducks down to avoid it.
Kay Ector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Xi Jia counters with a stiff right hand.
Xi Jia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Xi Jia is working for a submission of some sort.
Xi Jia is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ector has managed to free his arm - good work.

Xi Jia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ector is just riding it out for now. Xi Jia eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Ector is trying to push Xi Jia away but Xi Jia has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Ector moves in looking to clinch but Xi Jia pushes him off.

and Xi Jia counters with a good low kick that Ector was not able to check.
Xi Jia's corner calls for a 1-2. Xi Jia obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Kang Xi Jia.
Well Xi Jia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
