Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Foster (ranked 24558 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Blake (ranked 5867 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bakusatsuou! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foster takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Jeffrey Foster has been cut.
Blake tries for a takedown but Foster circles away easily

and Foster holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Foster is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Blake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blake turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Blake avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Foster is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blake pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Foster swings wildly with an uppercut but Blake uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Blake is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Foster reverses the position - he's now on top in Blake's guard.

Foster wants to get back to his feet.

Blake has control of Foster's left arm, preventing Foster from doing any damage.
Foster wants to get up but he can't break Blake's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Blake is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The ground and pound from Foster seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Foster creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Blake sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Foster thuds a left hand into Blake's body.

Blake shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Foster as he avoids it easily.
Foster was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Horrible takedown attempt by Blake or perhaps it was just good defense by Foster, which made it look bad.
Jeffrey Foster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Blake.

Blake pushes Foster up against the cage in a clinch.

Foster shoots in for a takedown but Blake shows good takedown defense.

Oh Foster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Blake clinches up with Foster and pushes him back against the cage.
Blake scores with a shot to the side of Foster's head.
Blake has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Foster is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Blake has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Blake pulls guard effortlessly.

Blake manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Blake counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Foster out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Blake is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
