Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Langford (ranked 6084 p4p, 660 weight class) and Jerry Berry (ranked 5610 p4p, 640 weight class). Jerry Berry will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Langford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jerry Berry!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berry avoids the body shot from Langford.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Berry has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Langford tries to clinch

and Berry counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Langford is trying to escape back to his feet but Berry uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Langford is looking for a sweep.
Berry lands a nice forearm strike.
Berry working the head with strikes.
Langford can't do much from the bottom here.
Berry working the ground and pound from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Berry is trying to get an arm triangle but Langford is defending well.
Langford pushes Berry away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Berry gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Langford controls the position for a moment.
Berry cracks Langford with a big elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Berry is staying tight to Langford's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Langford on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Berry scoring with punches and elbows.

Langford throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Langford lands a nice shot to the body.
Langford lands a right hook to the body.
Langford connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Berry tumbling to the canvas! Langford pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Berry was done - good stoppage!

In his post fight interview, Sam Langford started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
