The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Edwards clinches up with Sweet and pushes him back against the cage.

Edwards turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Edwards manages to end up in side control.
Sweet is trying to escape the position but Edwards is controlling the position.

Edwards is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sweet is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sweet prevents Edwards from improving position.

Edwards tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Edwards has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Edwards tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Edwards tries to move to mount but Sweet blocks the move with his legs.

Sweet is not content to let Edwards control the position.

Edwards wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sweet, who protects the arm well.

Edwards tries to control but Sweet wriggling away.

Edwards has control of Sweet's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sweet regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Edwards looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Sweet is squirming around, avoiding Edwards's attempts to control the action.

Edwards can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sweet is looking to escape.
