The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Juravlev counters with a three punch combo that has Sionis backing up. Sionis nods at Juravlev to acknowledge the strikes.
Alexey Juravlev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Juravlev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Juravlev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Juravlev swings for the body but Sionis moves out of range.

Sionis tries to land a leg kick but Juravlev saw it coming and moves away.
Juravlev lunges at Sionis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sionis's hand.
Sionis throws a hook but Juravlev avoids it easily.

Sionis feints and then cracks Juravlev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Juravlev down.

Juravlev throws out a loose jab but Sionis uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Sionis counters with a body kick.
Sionis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Juravlev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sionis scores with a sloppy right hand. Juravlev should have avoided that one.

Sionis lands a nice leg kick that just misses Juravlev's sensitive parts.

Juravlev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Alexey Juravlev's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Sionis dodges the punch combination from Juravlev.

Sionis lands a big head kick that sends Juravlev tumbling to the mat! Sionis takes a step backwards and waves Juravlev back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alexey Juravlev's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
