Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Delmer Coleman (ranked 5933 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tricky The Kid (ranked 4699 p4p, 0 weight class). The Kid has chosen All about the Benjamins as his entrance music. Tricky The Kid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Delmer Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tricky The Kid!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman clinches with his opponent.

Coleman gets control of The Kid's arms and successfully pulls guard. Coleman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The Kid stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The Kid is still trying to improve position.
Coleman is trying to keep The Kid in close.
The Kid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coleman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The Kid wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.

Coleman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Coleman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The Kid wants to control from the top but Coleman keeps moving.

Coleman is looking to sweep but instead, The Kid has passed into half guard.
The Kid works his foot free and advances to mount.
Coleman blocking the ground and pound.
The Kid has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coleman's face.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The Kid wants to control the pace but Coleman is squirming around nicely.

The Kid is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Coleman is surviving well by controlling The Kid's body position as best he can.
Coleman can't escape the position.

The Kid controlling the position easily from mount.
The Kid tries to control but Coleman wriggling away.

The Kid stands up from mount. Strange move.
The Kid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.
The Kid swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Coleman counters by clinching up.

The Kid gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Coleman regains guard.

Coleman has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. The Kid is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

The Kid has hold of one of Coleman's legs. Coleman is fighting the takedown attempt but The Kid gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Kid sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The Kid is working Coleman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Coleman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Tricky The Kid dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The Kid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Coleman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Coleman gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Coleman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The Kid trying to control but Coleman is having none of it.

The Kid moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Coleman has worked his arm free - good work by Coleman!

The ground and pound from The Kid seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Coleman bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

The Kid closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Coleman's guard.
The Kid chips away with some ground and pound.
Coleman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Kid manages to get himself to full guard.

The Kid has Coleman pulled in close to control his posture.
The Kid's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The Kid tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The Kid manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coleman manages to get himself to full guard.

The Kid sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Coleman's guard.
Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The Kid is working away from the top position though.
The Kid prevents Coleman from improving his position.
The Kid trying to pass the guard but Coleman defending well.
The Kid looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Coleman is not content to let The Kid control the position.
The Kid is stalling here. Coleman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! The Kid seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Coleman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The Kid wants to get back to his feet.
Coleman is looking to take a break and control but The Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The Kid is pushing Coleman's head away, looking to escape. Coleman manages to hold on to the position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coleman throws a strike aimed at the side of The Kid's head but The Kid avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tricky The Kid will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Coleman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The Kid stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The Kid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Coleman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Coleman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Still in half guard, Coleman seems content to control.
The Kid is trying to stand.
Coleman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The Kid gets back to full guard.
The Kid is trying to control the position but Coleman postures up.
The Kid pulls Coleman in close to his closed guard and prevents Coleman from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Coleman is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The Kid closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Coleman quickly recovers to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Coleman has hold of The Kid's hands but The Kid slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Coleman wants to get back to full guard.
The Kid not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The Kid is working for a submission of some sort.

Coleman is defending against the submission attempts here by The Kid.
The Kid blocks the strikes from Coleman.

Coleman tries to kick The Kid off but The Kid keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Coleman wants to improve his position but The Kid is controlling well.
The Kid working the head and body with strikes.
Coleman regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from The Kid.
Coleman keeping moving, preventing The Kid from controlling successfully.
The Kid lands a couple of digs.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The Kid is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Kid is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.
The Kid wants to pass the guard but Coleman is keeping the position.
Coleman trying to keep a closed guard but The Kid is proving a slippery customer.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The Kid passes into half guard.

The Kid is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Coleman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Kid's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Kid's back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Tricky The Kid comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got The Kid winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tricky The Kid decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
