Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ueda Umanouke (ranked 6 p4p, 1 weight class) and Silas Monk (ranked 41 p4p, 2 weight class). Umanouke's entrance music is Kenji Kawai's Making of a Cyborg. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monk uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Umanouke.

We've been hearing good reports from Umanouke's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A very excited looking Ueda Umanouke rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
