Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taiki Aoki (ranked 523 p4p, 61 weight class) and Caius Cosades (ranked 529 p4p, 62 weight class). Cosades comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Reign of the Septims kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Cosades misses.

Aoki shoots in and bounces Cosades off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Our spies down at at Sweat inform us that Cosades has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

We've been hearing good reports from Aoki's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Cosades has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aoki is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Cosades in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Cosades is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Aoki frees his head nicely. Oh but Cosades has switched to an armbar! Aoki is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
