PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brice Harmon (ranked 7301 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louie Dymott (ranked 5731 p4p, 0 weight class). Dymott comes into a darkened arena with his song building. one of a kind kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Brice Harmon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brice Harmon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Louie Dymott!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dymott throws a leg kick but Harmon checks it.
Dymott lands a head kick. Harmon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Harmon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dymott is trying to defend but Harmon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Harmon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Dymott actively working from the bottom here.
Dymott is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Harmon controlling the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harmon prevents Dymott from improving his position.

Harmon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Harmon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Harmon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Harmon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dymott postures up in Harmon's guard and throws a big left but Harmon blocks it.
Dymott looking to sit in guard and control but Harmon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dymott thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Harmon controlling from the top position.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Harmon.
Dymott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harmon content to stall in guard here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dymott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harmon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dymott misses with a low kick.

Dymott has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dymott has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Harmon regains guard immediately.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Louie Dymott dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Dymott bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Harmon wants to control but Dymott postures up.
Harmon is trying to improve his position.
Dymott misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Harmon is looking for a sweep.
Dymott scores with a couple of short elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harmon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dymott presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Dymott tries to control but Harmon wriggling away.

Dymott controlling the pace for now.
Dymott has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dymott jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Harmon is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Harmon and Dymott has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dymott is looking to take a break and control but Harmon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harmon throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Harmon tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Dymott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harmon has escaped the position, nice work there.
Harmon can't do much from the bottom here.
Harmon is trying to work for a sweep but Dymott has mounted him!
Harmon wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Louie Dymott has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dymott is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Harmon knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Harmon for a finish.
Harmon can't escape the position.

Can Harmon hold on?! Dymott is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Harmon trying to control the action but Dymott just sinks the hooks in.

Dymott is looking for a rear naked choke here but Harmon reverses the position brilliantly into Dymott's guard!
Dymott is pulling down on Harmon's head. It's preventing any offense from Harmon, at least for the moment.

Further stalling from Harmon.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dymott. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Louie Dymott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Harmon darts in and clinches Dymott up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Dymott's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dymott wants to control from the top but Harmon keeps moving.
Dymott loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Harmon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Harmon keeping moving, preventing Dymott from controlling successfully.
Harmon can't keep his opponent in guard - Dymott advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Harmon is refusing to be controlled, as Dymott sits in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Harmon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dymott was covering up waiting for the punch and Harmon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dymott is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Harmon is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dymott is trying to control the position but Harmon postures up.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harmon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Harmon sitting in guard here, content to control.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Harmon is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Harmon stops Dymott from standing up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dymott closes the distance and clinches.
Harmon keeps control of Dymott as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Harmon tries for a takedown but Dymott manages to get underhooks.

Dymott pulls guard.
Dymott takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dymott is trying to keep Harmon in close.

Harmon stands up and waves to Dymott to follow him.
Brice Harmon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harmon shoots in for a takedown but Dymott shows good takedown defense.

Dymott shoots in and bounces Harmon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dymott wants to control from the top but Harmon keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harmon controls Dymott momentarily but Dymott frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Louie Dymott.
Well Dymott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
