Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Whelan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adrian Stoneheart!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoneheart slips a jab and a cross from Whelan.
Whelan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stoneheart has his takedown stuffed
and Whelan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stoneheart shoots in and drives through. Whelan sprawls well.
Stoneheart tries to clinch but Whelan is having none of it.
Stoneheart looks for a takedown but Whelan sprawls well.
Sean Whelan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Stoneheart.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stoneheart closes the distance looking to clinch

and Whelan counters with a nice right hand that sends Stoneheart toppling to the canvas! Stoneheart scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Whelan finish him?!


It looks like Adrian Stoneheart has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stoneheart tries to clinch up.
A quick step to the side and Whelan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stoneheart misses with a takedown attempt - Whelan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice uppercut there from Whelan.
Stoneheart shoots and misses
and Whelan counters with a huge left! Stoneheart is in big trouble! He's backing up but Whelan isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Stoneheart from any more damage. A dominating finish by Whelan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Whelan!
Sean Whelan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
