Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Whelan (ranked 2715 p4p, 375 weight class) and Adrian Stoneheart (ranked 3372 p4p, 463 weight class). Whelan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Childish Gambino - Redbone (70s Remix). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoneheart slips a jab and a cross from Whelan.
Whelan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stoneheart has his takedown stuffed
and Whelan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stoneheart shoots in and drives through. Whelan sprawls well.
Stoneheart tries to clinch but Whelan is having none of it.
Stoneheart looks for a takedown but Whelan sprawls well.
Sean Whelan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrian Stoneheart.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stoneheart closes the distance looking to clinch

and Whelan counters with a nice right hand that sends Stoneheart toppling to the canvas! Stoneheart scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Whelan finish him?!

It looks like Adrian Stoneheart has been cut.

A quick step to the side and Whelan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stoneheart misses with a takedown attempt - Whelan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice uppercut there from Whelan.

and Whelan counters with a huge left! Stoneheart is in big trouble! He's backing up but Whelan isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Stoneheart from any more damage. A dominating finish by Whelan!

Sean Whelan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
