Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Franco Santo (ranked 6897 p4p, 204 weight class) and Makanakananui Opuakuwa (ranked 8828 p4p, 153 weight class). Franco Santo had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Franco Santo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Makanakananui Opuakuwa!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santo scores with a leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Santo. Opuakuwa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Opuakuwa throws a fast counter high kick but Santo manages to duck under it in time.
Opuakuwa looks to land a body kick but Santo moved away.
Santo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Santo scores with a nice head shot.

It looks like Makanakananui Opuakuwa has been cut.
Santo misses with a hook.
Opuakuwa wants to counter with a clinch but Santo pushes him away.
Santo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Santo closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Opuakuwa crashing to the mat! Opuakuwa uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Opuakuwa moves away from the strike by Santo.
Santo throws an overhand right that lands on Opuakuwa's shoulder, as Opuakuwa tries to avoid the shot.
Opuakuwa darts in trying to clinch
and Santo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Santo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Opuakuwa moves away.
Opuakuwa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santo.
Santo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Opuakuwa manages to avoid it.

Opuakuwa ducks into a a hook from Santo and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Opuakuwa is rocked!

Santo throws a big shot that misses.
Santo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Santo circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Opuakuwa tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Santo wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Franco Santo!
A relieved looking Franco Santo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
