Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aznar Thrul (ranked 1121 p4p, 147 weight class) and Mario Jones (ranked 1640 p4p, 200 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Quando Quando Quando. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Thrul does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thrul thumps Jones with a low kick.
Thrul misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.

and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Aznar Thrul has been cut.
Thrul definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Thrul closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.

Jones jumps guard but Thrul stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Thrul has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jones after a bit of a struggle.
Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Jones presses Thrul against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Thrul is breathing heavily.
Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Thrul backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thrul wants to break free but Jones has control.

Thrul has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jones can't find room to land a body shot as Thrul controls the action.
Thrul is trying to force a seperation but Jones has the dominant position.
Jones digs a right hand underneath Thrul's ribcage. Thrul let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Jones has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Thrul seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Jones can turn it around.
Jones working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Thrul is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jones throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Thrul breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thrul takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thrul manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thrul.

Thrul has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.

Jones is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Thrul rather than just go for the knockout.

Jones throws out a loose jab but Thrul uses good head movement to avoid it.

Thrul throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jones wants to clinch up but Thrul keeps it at a distance.

Thrul misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely.
Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jones tries to clinch but Thrul is having none of it.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thrul walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Thrul is rocked!
and Jones counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Thrul! He's just covering up as Jones starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
