The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ritchie fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ritchie misses with a head kick.
Ritchie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Allison circles away quickly and effectively.
Allison seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Allison gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Allison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ritchie gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Allison pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ritchie looks for the body kick but Allison saw that one coming.

Allison feinted with a counter takedown.
Allison tries to clinch there but Ritchie circles away.
Ritchie tries to bum rush Allison with a series of wild strikes but Allison uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allison tries to pull guard but Ritchie won't allow it.

Ritchie bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Allison's head.
Allison tries to close the distance and clinch but Ritchie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Allison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ritchie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Allison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ritchie wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ritchie lands a left and a right that send Allison crashing to the mat, dazed. Ritchie thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Allison is rocked!


It looks like Carrol Allison has been cut.
Allison misses with a shot to the body
and Ritchie counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Allison badly! Ritchie follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Allison out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Ritchie finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tank Ritchie!
During a confident post fight interview, Tank Ritchie thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
