The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Xavier misses the target.
Fortytwo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Xavier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Xavier misses with an uppercut.
Fortytwo lands with an uppercut that bounces Xavier off the cage and back into range.
Fortytwo tries to clinch
and Xavier counters with a lovely straight right hand!
One Fortytwo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fortytwo swings for the body but Xavier moves out of range.
Fortytwo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nice defenses there by Fortytwo.

Fortytwo pushes Xavier up against the cage in a clinch.
Fortytwo misses with some punches.
Xavier avoiding damage as Fortytwo throws knees to the body.

Xavier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab lands there for Fortytwo.
Fortytwo scores with a head kick.
Fortytwo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Xavier chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fortytwo can pounce on him.
Fortytwo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Xavier has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fortytwo moves to clinch but Xavier breaks away
and Xavier counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Fortytwo is still on wobbly legs! Can Xavier finish him?
Xavier circles away from the clinch attempt
and Xavier counters with a big right hand! Oh Fortytwo is in trouble here! Xavier follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
