Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Kidman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shikamaru Nara!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Kidman or perhaps it was just good defense by Nara, which made it look bad.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nara.
Nara stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kidman.
Nara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kidman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nara shoots in for a double leg but Kidman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kidman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nara.
Nara is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nice takedown defense from Kidman. No joy for Nara on that attempt.
Billy Kidman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shikamaru Nara.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Kidman as Nara shoots in.

Kidman gets a clinch.
Nara is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Come on Kidman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nara has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kidman jumps guard and drags Nara to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Nara throws a strike but Kidman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kidman stands up over Nara, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kidman connects with a couple of short punches.

Nara looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kidman has picked Nara up and slammed him! Nara can't keep hold of the triangle and Kidman manages to pass to side control!
Kidman moves into full mount!
Nara in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Nara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kidman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kidman has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Nara is forced to tap!
