Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Gervais (ranked 629 p4p, 77 weight class) and Gregory Marks (ranked 2500 p4p, 291 weight class). Gervais comes to the cage accompanied by Arcade Fire - Ready to Start. Marks has chosen I'm Not a Gentleman as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregory Marks!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks misses with a takedown
and Gervais counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marks thinking.
Good standup being displayed there by Gervais as he connects with a hook.
Marks looks to throw the jab but Gervais is out of range.
Gervais throws a big counter combination but Marks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gervais connects with an inside leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Gervais.
Gervais moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Marks looks for a takedown but Gervais sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gervais throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gervais lands with a good body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gervais sizes up Marks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gervais lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Gervais throws a head kick but Marks moves out of range.
Gervais cracks Marks with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Marks looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gervais finish him?
Marks is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marks swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Gervais counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Samuel Gervais!

Jumping up and down and very excited, Samuel Gervais waved his t-shirt featuring Forge Clothing Co.'s logo in front of the cameras.
In defeat, Gregory Marks stepped up to the mic, saying 'it was a good fight, both fighters fought hard. Next question.'.
