The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alcantara has taken the fight to the clinch.
Trujillo tries to pull guard but Alcantara won't allow it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Trujillo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alcantara has hold of one of Trujillo's legs. Trujillo is fighting the takedown attempt but Alcantara gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Trujillo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alcantara's guard.

Trujillo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alcantara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Alcantara thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Alcantara remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
