Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikola Markovic (ranked 4445 p4p, 470 weight class) and Shiba Inu (ranked 3507 p4p, 391 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nikola Markovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shiba Inu!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inu doesn't manage to clinch there - Markovic circles away.
Markovic looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Markovic bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Inu's head backwards.
Markovic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Inu throws a shot from downtown. Markovic moves away and avoids it.
Markovic throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Markovic staying out of range there.
Inu misses with a straight left.
Markovic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Inu takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Inu takes one on the button.
Inu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Markovic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Inu.
Inu blocks a jab.
Markovic throws a looping overhand right but Inu ducks down to avoid it.
Inu slips under a jab from Markovic.
Markovic lands a really nice looking cross but Inu seems unphased.
Inu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Inu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Markovic as he avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Inu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Inu gets to his feet - Markovic follows without any prompting.

A lazy left from Markovic finds it's target.

Inu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Markovic to the ground. Inu is now in Markovic's guard.

Inu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Inu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Inu is pushing down on Markovic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Markovic is fighting to maintain full guard but Inu has managed to sneak the leg through.
Inu stops Markovic from getting back to his feet.
Inu missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Markovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Inu on the ground.

Inu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Markovic has managed to free his arm - good work.

Inu is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Inu is working for a kimura but Markovic is defending it quite comfortably.
Inu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Markovic knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Markovic is trying to stand up here but Inu is controlling him well.
Inu throwing shots but Markovic is blocking nicely.

Inu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shiba Inu dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Markovic gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nikola Markovic is winning the standup battle so far.
Markovic throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Inu moves out of range as Markovic strikes.
Markovic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Markovic is looking to counter punch.
Inu with a lazy takedown attempt

Inu gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Markovic.
Markovic throws a hook but Inu blocks it.

and Inu counters with a shoot takedown. Markovic fights it but they end up in guard.

Inu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Markovic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Markovic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Inu manages to pass to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Inu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Inu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Markovic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Markovic scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Inu manages to mount him!

Inu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Markovic is surviving well by controlling Inu's body position as best he can.
Inu wants to control the pace but Markovic is squirming around nicely.

Markovic tries to buck Inu off so he can stand up but Inu has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Markovic falls backwards, slamming Inu to the mat but Inu holds on tight! Markovic is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shiba Inu!
Shiba Inu was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
