Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Akira Yamato (ranked 5879 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Marynczak (ranked 7987 p4p, 0 weight class). Marynczak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Whitesnake - Here I Go Again. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marynczak drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Yamato cracks Marynczak with a good jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marynczak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Yamato darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Marynczak or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamato, which made it look bad.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Marynczak ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Yamato looks to land a left hand but Marynczak moved out of range nicely.
Yamato uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marynczak.

Marynczak drives through and clinches with Yamato against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Yamato creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Yamato keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marynczak's efforts to push away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yamato lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yamato takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Yamato creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Marynczak with a big uppercut! Marynczak tries to clinch up but Yamato pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Marynczak to the mat! Marynczak covers up and Yamato unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
