The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nurudinov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Honda is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Honda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nurudinov is working away from the top position though.

Nurudinov thows an elbow strike that misses. Honda gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Nurudinov doesn't seem too bothered but Honda quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Nurudinov is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Nurudinov really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.

After the fight, Edmond Honda was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
