The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fingers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bone counters by moving into the clinch.
Fingers tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bone lands a body shot in the clinch.
The referee calls for Bone to work.
Fingers tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bone avoids it.
Bone fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fingers gets tackled into the cage by Bone. Bone maintains the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fingers is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Fingers throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Bone successfully pulls guard.
Fingers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bone should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fingers postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bone is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fingers, into his guard.

Fingers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bone is one step ahead there.
Bone connects with a couple of short punches.
Fingers is adopting a defensive guard.

Bone stands up and waves to Fingers to follow him.

Bone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fingers is trying to force a seperation but Bone has the dominant position.

Fingers has Bone pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fingers pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bone tumbling to the mat - Fingers dives into Bone's guard.

Bone has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Fingers off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bone shoots in looking for a takedown but Fingers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bone fails to land the takedown.
Bone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fingers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bone is fending him off so far but Fingers persists. Nope, Bone circles away and we're back to standing.
Bone wants to counter the offense by Fingers and move into the clinch position.

Fingers leaves Bone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Bone tries to get set, Fingers tries to push him back and clinch up but Bone manages to avoid the attempt.

Bone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fingers crunches a lovely knee into Bone's ribcage.
Bone prevents a takedown attempt there.
The referee is keeping an eye on Fingers - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Fingers wants to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Bone dominated that round.

Bone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fingers's waist but Fingers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bone off to one side.
Fingers is looking to counter punch.
Bone has a takedown stuffed.
Bone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fingers tries to keep at a distance but Bone has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bone on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Fingers is looking to control Bone's arms but Bone gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fingers has his back to the cage.

Fingers has one foot on Bone's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bone closes the distance and clinches up with Fingers, looking for a takedown. Bone pushes Fingers against the cage but Fingers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bone is defended easily by Fingers.

Bone turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bone manages to end up in side control.

Fingers explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Fingers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bone swivels and escapes.
Bone is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Bone darts in and clinches Fingers up against the cage.
Fingers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bone drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fingers pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bone fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fingers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Fingers tries to sprawl but Bone drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jim Bone has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bone decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Bone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fingers appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bone circles away from the clinch attempt.

Fingers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Our spies down at at Lucky Liam's MMA Academy inform us that Bone has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Fingers has gone for a leg lock! Bone slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fingers's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Bone bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fingers tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fingers wants to control but Bone postures up.
Bone lands some shots froms side control.
Bone is looking to take a break and control but Fingers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bone creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Bone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fingers has escaped the position, nice work there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fingers struggling a bit here.

Bone trying to control the action but Fingers is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fingers is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bone off and has taken his back!
Bone wants to escape the position.
Bone wants to control his opponent's hands but Fingers gets his hands free.
Fingers is hanging on to Bone's back as he tries to escape.
Fingers misses with punches from the back.

Fingers is trying to stick to Bone's back but Bone is turning into Fingers. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fingers's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bone.

Bone decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fingers, up you get!
Bone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bone fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fingers throws a quick counter head kick but Bone was just out of range.
Bone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fingers swivels and escapes.
Bone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fingers as he jumps to the side.
Fingers tries to counter with a takedown but Bone is quick to defend against it.
Tim Fingers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Bone.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fingers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bone is trying to improve his position.
Bone regains half guard.
Fingers is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bone!
Bone can't escape the position.
Fingers scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Fingers looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bone is wriggling around trying to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bone is still trying to improve position.
Fingers lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bone tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fingers with the ground and pound from mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tim Fingers showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
