The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aldarov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kane's half guard.
Aldarov is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that Aldarov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Aldarov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kane actively working from the bottom here.
Kane wants to get back to full guard.

Still in half guard, Aldarov seems content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Aldarov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Aldarov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kane was covering up waiting for the punch and Aldarov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldarov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Aldarov chips away with some ground and pound.
Aldarov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like Aldarov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Aldarov looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Kane on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Aldarov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Aldarov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Kane quite badly. Kane pulls Aldarov in close trying to recover. Aldarov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Kane on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Kane doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
