Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Warner (ranked 4197 p4p, 202 weight class) and Pablo Jr Silva (ranked 5583 p4p, 263 weight class). Jeff Warner had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Jeff Warner could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pablo Jr Silva's chin.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Warner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Warner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And Silva tries to counter it with a takedown but Warner pushes his down on his head and steps out.

My spies in Melhor Lutador MMA inform me that Silva has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Silva throws a strike but Warner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Silva pulls Warner in close to prevent any damage.
Warner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Silva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Warner manages to get himself to full guard.

A lull in the action here as Silva stalls from top position.
It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Silva is staying tight to Warner's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Silva has an Americana. Warner didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Silva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
