The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from OConnell misses the target.
Decent striking displayed by OConnell there.
OConnell has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Man is landing a low percentage of strikes.
OConnell clobbers Man with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Man swings for the body but OConnell moves out of range.
OConnell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Man back to the cage. OConnell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
OConnell throws a sloppy head kick and Man moves out of range easily.
Man walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
OConnell jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Man has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hey Steves Fight Shack in the buildup to the fight.
OConnell throws the left hand but Man avoids the punch easily.
Man tries a head kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from OConnell.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Man moves away from the strike by OConnell.
Man lands a head kick. OConnell smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Paul OConnell has been cut.
OConnell throws a hook but Man avoids it easily.
Man throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Snow Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
OConnell misses with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.

OConnell instigates a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Man.
OConnell is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Man is keeping busy.
OConnell misses with a hook from the clinch.
OConnell lands a damaging elbow.

OConnell breaks the clinch.

Man lands a big head kick that sends OConnell tumbling to the mat! Man takes a step backwards and waves OConnell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
OConnell is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
OConnell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A thudding body kick lands there by Man!
OConnell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Man looks to land a body kick but OConnell moved away.
OConnell unleashes a big counter combination but Man bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
OConnell scores with a punch to the head.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but OConnell moves away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from OConnell! But no joy.
OConnell might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Man feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends OConnell sprawling to the canvas! OConnell rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Man finish him?!


OConnell is rocked!
Man throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
OConnell is still on wobbly legs! Can Man finish him?
OConnell looks winded!
OConnell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Man punishes OConnell's body with a nice straight punch.
OConnell seems to have recovered his senses.

Man rushes OConnell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Man is working OConnell over against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man throws a big uppercut that drops OConnell! More strikes from Man and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! OConnell lies dazed against the cage as Man celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Snow Man!
A very excited looking Snow Man made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
