Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jones (ranked 6081 p4p, 652 weight class) and Bwanali Longwe (ranked 4549 p4p, 0 weight class). Longwe is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: kojo funds dun talking. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Longwe instigates a clinch.
Longwe is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Longwe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones gets caught napping as Longwe dives in and scores a takedown. Jones manages to retain guard.
Longwe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Longwe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Longwe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Longwe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Longwe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Longwe.

Longwe drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Longwe stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Longwe!

Longwe is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Longwe looking for a guillotine from mount but Jones is having none of it.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Longwe isn't that keen on the idea.
Jones reaches up to try and control the position but Longwe seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Jones rolls and tries to escape and now Longwe has his back!

Longwe lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Longwe.

Longwe really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jones.
Let's hope that Longwe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Longwe is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Jones knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Jones for a finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
What can Jones do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Longwe has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jones's body.

Jones is looking to stand back up but Longwe counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jones.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
