The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kempton tries to close the distance and clinch but Cheetaham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kempton closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cheetaham quickly recovers to half guard.

Cheetaham has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kempton is on him like a limpet, forcing Cheetaham back against the cage.
Kempton misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kempton decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cheetaham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cheetaham makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kempton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Cheetaham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kempton defends it well.

Cheetaham takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
