Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big Guns (ranked 247 p4p, 41 weight class) and Michael Cole (ranked 309 p4p, 50 weight class). Cole has chosen I Won't Back Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 18 - 2, fighting out of London, Big Guns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole just misses with a punch to the body.
Guns was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Guns tries a head kick but it misses.
Guns lands a slapping body shot.
Cole lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Guns tests Cole's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Michael Cole has been cut.
Cole throws a big shot that misses.
Cole dodges the punch combination from Guns.
A looping hook to the body misses from Guns. Cole does a little dance to reset his feet.
Guns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cole manages to avoid it.
Cole misses the jab.
Guns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole lands with a cross.
Guns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cole.
Cole lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cole has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cole misses with an uppercut. Guns saw that one coming.

A solid leg kick lands there for Guns.
Cole misses with a body shot
and Guns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cole swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Guns counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cole scores with a nice strike.
Guns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cole manages to avoid it.
Guns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cole was well out of range. Poor timing from Guns.
Guns walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cole checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Guns misses with a jab, cross combination.
It seemed like Cole was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Big Guns is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A solid leg kick lands there for Guns.
Guns is looking to wear down Cole with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Cole on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A swing and a miss from Cole.
Guns rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Cole to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guns.

Guns drops Cole with a nice combination! Guns dives into Cole's guard, looking to finish!

Cole has his hands on Guns's head, controlling the position.
Cole is still in real trouble! Can Guns finish him?

Guns wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.
Cole seems to have recovered his senses.
Guns is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Cole pulls Guns in close to prevent any damage.
Guns pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Guns throws a strike but Cole rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cole throws a big elbow that misses.
Cole throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Guns works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cole accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cole won't allow Guns to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cole loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Cole stands up over Guns, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Guns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cole scoring with some ground and pound.
Guns is trying to control the position but Cole postures up.
Cole throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guns manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cole manages to get himself to full guard.
Guns wants to control from the top but Cole keeps moving.
Guns passes Cole's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Guns tries to pass to full mount but Cole defends it.
Guns is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cole sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Big Guns dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Michael Cole's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Guns slips under a jab.
Guns is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cole can do to turn this around?
Guns walks into a jab.
Cole waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Guns.
Cole connects with a body shot.
Guns takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Guns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cole.
Cole dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Guns throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Cole shoots in for a takedown but Guns shows good takedown defense.
Cole blocks a head kick by Guns.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cole! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guns swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Guns misses with a hook
and Cole counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Guns scores with a jab. Cole acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cole connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Cole tries to move into range but Guns moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cole closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Guns keeping control of the position.
Cole throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nice strikes from Cole there.
Guns is looking to improve his position.
Guns moves into full guard.
Guns is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cole tries to get to full guard but Guns has control of the leg.

Cole is not content to let Guns control the position.
Guns thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cole's head.
Guns looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Guns stalling.
Cole is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Guns wants to pass to mount but Cole is defending the position.
Big Guns overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Guns seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Guns is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cole is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Guns trying to pass the guard but Cole defending well.
Cole keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Cole is in trouble now - Guns has advanced to mount!
Guns is looking to work his way around to Cole's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Cole sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cole is looking for a sweep. Guns is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Guns is keen to just control but Cole is a slippery customer.
Cole wants to get back to full guard.
Guns controlling the action here.
Guns is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cole defends it well.
Cole tries to roll over but Guns keeps him under control.
Guns is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cole wants to control but Guns is keeping busy and won't allow it.

A close second round but Michael Cole will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Cole ducks under a wild hook from Guns.
Cole might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Cole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Guns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cole.
Cole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Guns sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Guns.
Nice takedown defense from Guns. No joy for Cole on that attempt.
Cole cracks Guns with a good jab.
Guns moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Guns walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cole drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Guns swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cole's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
