Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big Asznee (ranked 564 p4p, 69 weight class) and Wayne Benning (ranked 1265 p4p, 154 weight class). Asznee comes to the cage accompanied by The Game. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Benning!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ron Honeybunn and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Asznee drives through with a takedown into guard.
Asznee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Asznee engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Benning keeping moving, preventing Asznee from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Benning is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Asznee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Benning tries to bench press Asznee off him but Asznee keeps the position.

Asznee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Benning keeps working.

Asznee throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Asznee wants to control but Benning is keeping him busy.
Benning felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Benning is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Asznee uses his free foot to push down on Benning's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Benning.
Benning is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Asznee tries to take his opponent's back but Benning turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.
Benning is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Asznee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Asznee is trying to control the position but Benning postures up.
Benning must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Benning seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Asznee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Benning can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Benning scores with a counter punch that sends Asznee to the canvas! Benning smells blood - he's punishing Asznee with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Asznee has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne Benning!
