Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.

It looks like Cru Jones has been cut.
Brown shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones is keen to just control but Brown is a slippery customer.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.

Brown is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jones hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
