Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pikachu Masta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brian Reaves!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaves ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Masta fails with a takedown attempt.
Masta steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reaves.
Masta is looking for a counter combo.
Reaves throws a jab but it's blocked by Masta.
Masta is looking to counter with head kicks.
Reaves lands with a nice body kick.
Masta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reaves has closed the distance and engaged Masta in a clinch.
Reaves digs a right hand into Masta's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Masta's gas tank.
Masta is breathing heavily.
Reaves leaning his opponent against the cage.
Reaves taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masta goes for a takedown attempt but Reaves pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Reaves's jab looks to have found its range, popping Masta under the eye.
It looks like Pikachu Masta has been cut.
Reaves connects with a solid leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reaves lands a body shot.
Reaves fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Masta has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Reaves throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Reaves scores with a body shot.
Reaves lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Masta on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Reaves lands a big right hand that sends Masta crashing to the mat! Reaves stays standing though and waves Masta back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reaves throws an uppercut from hell that sends Masta clean off his feet! He's out cold! Reaves stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
