Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Volkov (ranked 1863 p4p, 182 weight class) and Justin Sider (ranked 4683 p4p, 430 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov lands a jab to Sider's midsection.
Volkov throws the left hand but Sider avoids the punch easily.
Volkov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Justin Sider has been cut.
Volkov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've been told by Volkov's head coaches at Kushiage MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Volkov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sider sprawling to the canvas! Sider rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Volkov finish him?!
Alexei Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Volkov drops Sider with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sider looks back up at him and smiles so Volkov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Volkov connects with a right that clearly hurt Sider. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Volkov proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Sider collapses and taps out under the pressure!
