Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royo Jones (ranked 24548 p4p, 698 weight class) and Robert Bruce (ranked 24648 p4p, 718 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bruce swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bruce lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Bruce lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards.

Bruce has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Jones seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bruce can turn it around.

Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bruce.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Bruce lands a glancing blow to the side of Jones's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bruce, as that shot connected.
Bruce connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.

Jones walks straight into a right hand from Bruce - that's dropped him! Bruce jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jones from any more punishment! Jones complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Robert Bruce was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
