Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thad Aguilar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Avraham Avinu!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avinu shoots in but no luck this time.

Aguilar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Avinu's guard.
Aguilar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Aguilar really is a fat lump.
Avinu wants to stand but Aguilar is controlling the position.
Aguilar wants to get up but he can't break Avinu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Aguilar postures up in Avinu's guard and throws a big left but Avinu blocks it.
Aguilar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Aguilar tries to free his leg and advance position but Avinu is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Avinu has Aguilar pulled in close to control his posture.
Aguilar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Aguilar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Avinu defends it nicely.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Aguilar.
Avinu wants to counter the offense by Aguilar and move into the clinch position.
A nice combination there by Aguilar.
Avinu has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Aguilar stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aguilar is defended easily by Avinu.
Avinu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aguilar circles away.
Thad Aguilar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Avraham Avinu.
Avinu swats away the attempt to clinch by Aguilar.

No luck for Aguilar with that takedown attempt.
Aguilar misses with the body kick

and Avinu counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Aguilar!

Avinu lands a couple of elbows.
Aguilar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Avinu controls the pace.
Avinu throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Avinu postures up and lands a big shot to Aguilar's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguilar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Aguilar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Aguilar really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Avinu content to stall in guard here.

Aguilar is rocked!

Avinu postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Aguilar covers up, he's hurt! Avinu keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Avinu and the ref steps in to end the fight! Avinu can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Avraham Avinu!
Our winner, Avraham Avinu, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
