The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chudinov just misses with a punch to the body.
Bastard attempts a counter takedown but Chudinov avoids it well and moves away.
Chudinov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bastard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Chudinov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Chudinov tries to land a front kick but Bastard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Chudinov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bastard on the side of the head.

and Bastard counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
