Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 145 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Zap closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zap lands in his opponent's guard.
Zap is standing up over Lei. Lei looks to escape but Zap dives into side control.

Lei is trying to get back to his feet.

Zap stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Lei tries to keep at a distance but Zap has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zap breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lei throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Zap decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lei's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zap slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zap advances to half guard.
Lei has hold of Zap's hands but Zap slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lei looks like he's trying to stand up.
Zap trying to control the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lei pushes Zap off but Zap dives into side control.
Zap taking a breather here.
Lei looks winded!

Zap stands up and beckons Lei to his feet.

Zap has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lei can't break the clinch.

Zap pulls guard effortlessly.

Zap is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lei rolls with it to try and escape but Zap cranks on the arm and Lei is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
