Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Oneil (ranked 4641 p4p, 441 weight class) and Maverick Stoner (ranked 1887 p4p, 226 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoner keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Oneil.
Stoner feints the counter takedown.
Stoner throws a sloppy body shot
and Oneil counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Maverick Stoner has been cut.
Oneil scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stoner looks for the body kick but Oneil saw that one coming.

Oneil moves into range and clinches up with Stoner.
Stoner blocks an uppercut.
Stoner jumps guard but Oneil turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Stoner is working for takedown but Oneil is calmly controlling the position for now.

Stoner tries to pull guard but Oneil holds him up against the cage and eventually Stoner drops back down to his feet.

Oneil is looking to stand up but Stoner won't let him.

Oneil misses with a series of wild punches.
Stoner drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Oneil defends it well.

Oneil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oneil looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Stoner gets a takedown into half guard.
Stoner wants to take a breather but Oneil is having none of it.
Oneil pushes Stoner off looking to stand but Stoner dives back in and keeps control.

Oneil trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Oneil is defending against the submission attempts here by Stoner.
Stoner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oneil keeps working.
Stoner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Oneil knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Oneil is kicking away at Stoner from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Stoner grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Oneil trying to push Stoner off... Oneil taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
