Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maicon Kuster (ranked 3528 p4p, 362 weight class) and Bruno Bock (ranked 4257 p4p, 417 weight class). Bruno Bock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bock tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kuster counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bock tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kuster counters with a stiff right hand.

Bock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kuster swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bock tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kuster paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bock tries a head kick but it misses.

Kuster rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bock throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kuster.
Bock slips a straight right by Kuster.
Bock raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Bock tries to clinch but Kuster moves out of range.
Kuster throws a body punch but Bock moves out of range.

Kuster works over Bock's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Bruno Bock has been cut.

Kuster shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bock is staying active underneath Kuster, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kuster postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bock to stand up.

Bock instigates a clinch.
Kuster stalling against the cage.
Kuster lands with a short shot to the head.
Bock is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kuster is keeping busy.
Kuster lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bock lands with a right to the head.
Kuster misses with an elbow over the top.

Bock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kuster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bock manages to avoid it.

Kuster cracks Bock with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kuster has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bock to stand back up!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kuster throws a right and a left that Bock avoids nicely.
A slow jab from Kuster misses its intended target.

Kuster cracks Bock with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bock looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kuster finish him?

That has opened up Bruno Bock's cut even more.
Bock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bock seems to have recovered his senses.

and Kuster counters with a nice right hand that sends Bock toppling to the canvas! Bock scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kuster finish him?!
