Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gato Wali!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xaito Siu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wali as he jumps to the side.
Wali shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Siu as he avoids it easily.
Siu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Siu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wali's waist but Wali gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Siu off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wali is defended easily by Siu.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gato Wali. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Siu throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wali misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Wali fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Siu avoids it really well and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Siu. Those never looked like landing.

Wali closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Siu tries to buck Wali off but Wali is having none of it.
Wali wants to stand but Siu is controlling his arm.
Wali is staying tight to Siu's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Wali tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wali has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wali stands up and beckons Siu to his feet.

Wali fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Siu, pushing him back against the cage.
Wali tries to score a body lock takedown but Siu shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Siu has clasped his hands together around Wali's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wali manages to get back to half guard.

Wali wants to stand and escape but Siu is having none of it.

Oh but Wali is tightening it up a little... Siu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Siu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Siu taps out! Nice BJJ there by Wali!
