Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riise tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Velasquez was well out of range. Poor timing from Riise.
A head kick from Velasquez lands but Riise takes it in his stride.
Velasquez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Velasquez showed some decent athleticism there.
Riise has hold of Velasquez 's hands but Velasquez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Riise wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Velasquez tries to pass to full mount but Riise defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Velasquez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Riise is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
